“During my four months at WindAid, I acquired many practical skills while contributing towards a common goal of providing clean energy to those that need it. Simultaneously, I traveled around the beautiful country of Peru and made many friends.” Mechanical Engineering at University of Calgary Canada

Welcome to the WindAid Testimonials page
Get to know the volunteers and communities we have worked with. Volunteers come from over 40 countries and build a turbine(s) here in Peru! Some may be near you or from your home country, if you do not see your country come join us we would love to learn about a new culture. Our communities are distributed amongst 5 departments in Peru and you can come build a turbine for one of them!
Ingeborg Norevik Berg: Hordaland, Civil Engineering at University of Bristol
“With WindAid I had an experience of a lifetime.Through the programme I learned about manufacturing processes and got to work with all sorts of interesting materials. I got to see with my own eyes the differences a wind turbine can make in a small community in Peru, and also the effects of climate change which makes this initiative so important. In addition to this I learned a lot about myself, and got the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone. I return to university this fall feeling very inspired to learn more, feeling that it is possible to make a difference.”
Adam Patton: Belfast-Northern Ireland, Mechanical Engineering at Queen’s University
