your world – Experience volunteer-work abroad on sustainable and
environmental projects making an immediate and direct improvement on
the lives within Peruvian communities.
WindAid offers
1, 2, 4, and 5-week placement program based in Trujillo, Peru,
geared towards people interested in directly improving the lives of
those living without the benefits of
electricity.
Anyone
can participate in WindAid as there are NO
PREREQUISITE SKILLS REQUIRED or knowledge of wind turbines or
engineering. We will guide volunteers every step of the way (in
English or Spanish) to ensure an educating and rewarding experience.
The
volunteer experience is ideal for anyone with an interest in addressing
climate change, developing appropriate and renewable technologies,
engineering and design or for someone who just wants to make a positive
change in other peoples lives.
A
normal working day is from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. A
typical schedule for the WindAid 5 week program is outlined below.
